The 132kV GCB has one common mechanism to actuate the three phases while the 275kV GCBs have independent mechanisms for each pole. The 275kV poles may either be operated individually or gang operated electrically. Each phase consists of an arcing chamber, support porcelain, and mechanism housing. These GCBs adopt the varying open-distance and mixed blast arc principle in their construction.
