Gas Insulated Switchgear
Tenaga Switchgear Sdn Bhd is a manufacturer of 132kV and 275kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), SF6 Gas Circuit Breakers and disconnectors.
The SF6 gas is used for both arc - extinguishing and insulating medium. The main components of the GIS are circuit breaker, disconnectors, earthing switches, current and potential transformers, surge arrestors, busbar system, cable terminal and bushing. The components are independent and have standard structure. They can be easily arranged in HV switchyard for single-busbar, double-busbar and one and half circuit breaker connection.
The enclosures of 132kV GIS are of three phase type. For 275kV GIS we have single phase as well as three phase type enclosures.
