The importance of switchyard maintenance cannot be overemphasized. Tenaga Switchgear Sdn. Bhd. has the necessary expertise at its disposal to ensure switchgear remain in good condition.
Scope Of Maintenance
The scope of maintenance service cover a wide range of makes both Gas Insulated
switchgear and outdoor switchgears. This includes the following areas:
- Circuit Breakers up to 275kV
- 33kV / 11kV Transformer Tail Circuit Breakers
- Busbars
- Isolators
- Conductors
- Bushings
- Lightning Arrestors
- CT & CVT
- Earthing Systems
- Checking and Rehabilitation of any flashover damages
The objective of good maintenance practices are as follows:
- improved safety of operation
- significant reduction of maintenance time and costs
- improved reliability of operations and protection
- adapt and optimize changes incorporated in rehabilitation of switchyards
Maintenance is divided into two categories : which are maintenance of circuit breaker & maintenance of ancillary equipment such as Isolator, CT, VT & etc.
Production And Testing Facilities
Testing and quality assurance is at the heart of TSG's production process. Priority is placed on these two essential areas to ensure consistency of quality in our products. To ensure quality during manufacturing and assembly in accordance with design, state of the art facilities are used for both production and testing. These include:-
- 700 kV AC High Voltage Withstand Test Set from Haefely, Switzerland.
- High Capacity SF6 Gas handling System from DILO, Germany.
- Air Handling System to ensure low humidity and dust level by YORK, UK, and Halton, Finland.
- 16 Channel Computerized Oscillographic Breaker Analyzer System.
- 4000A AC Current Injection Set-up, from Programma, Sweden.
- Micro-ohmmeter from Programma Sweden.
- Partial Discharge Measuring equipment from ICM, Germany.
- Moisture Analyser set from Shaw, England.

Our products come with international accreditation of the CESI type test certificate for conformity to IEC standards and safety and the ISO 9000 certification.
