WHAT DEFINES US

Tenaga Switchgear Sdn. Bhd. (TSG), a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), has been a trusted name in the power sector since 1994. As Malaysia's only local manufacturer of high-voltage switchgear from 132kV to 275kV, we supply reliable solutions to Thailand, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Our products include Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), Gas Circuit Breakers (GCB), Disconnectors, and Medium Voltage (MV) systems. Through our joint venture with Ormazabal Velatia Spain, we expanded into substation services, maintenance, and oil & gas platforms.

OUR STORY

  • 1994
    The beginning of Tenaga Switchgear Sdn.Bhd, a subsidiary of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) first factory building at Bukit Rahman Putra, Sg. Buloh, Selangor.
  • 1996
    Started manufacturing High Voltage (HV) equipment in 1996.
  • 2000
    Manufacturer of high-voltage switchgear (132kV to 275kV) for the domestic market. It also exports its products and services to Thailand, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
  • 2001
    TSG expanded into Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC), offering end-to-end switchgear supply, substation packages, and reliable project management solutions.
  • 2012
    TSG expanded into Medium Voltage through a joint venture with Spain's Ormazabal, forming TSG Ormazabal Sdn. Bhd. to produce 33kV switchgear.
  • 2014
    TSG commissioned its first 33kV system for the SSU CX5 Data Center in Cyberjaya and simultaneously launched its first portable HV mobile test set.
  • 2022
    TSG has launched an EV Charger Hub in Kota Damansara, marking a significant step into sustainable mobility.
  • 2023
    TSG is focusing on expanding EV charging infrastructure as the EVSE and EPCC provider for TNB Electron.
  • Present
